GLASTONBURY Festival has been ranked as one of the best festivals in the world.

Data experts at NZ Casino analysed information from over 100 festivals across 30 countries to compile a list of the top 20.

They used data including TripAdvisor ratings, Google searches per month, and the number of Instagram and TikTok posts.

Glastonbury, which is set to take place from June 26 to June 30, was listed as the sixth best festival worldwide.

The study says: "A truly legendary British festival, Glastonbury is known for providing a festival experience unlike any other.

"Full of epic acts, surprise guest appearances, and crowds screaming wildly, you can’t go wrong with the well-known Glastonbury Festival.

"This year’s line-up includes SZA, Dua Lipa, and Coldplay".

Glastonbury marks the start of the UK festival season along with other popular British events, including ParkLife and Download Festival.

The results show that Rock in Rio, held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, came out on top with a score of 9.5 out of 10, followed by Coachella in California and Sziget in Budapest, Hungary.

Other festivals included in the list include Tomorowland (Belgium), Creamfields (Cheshire, UK), Reading Festival, Boom Festival (Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal) and many more.
