WORKS have been recently completed at the Recreation Ground in Ilminster thanks to £14,000 funding.
New fitness stations are now ready to use after a community consultation that took place in December 2022.
A spokesperson for Ilminster Town Council said: “Following the community consultation from December 2022, work has been completed on the new Fitness Station located at the Recreation Ground and it is ready for use.
“We would like to thank Somerset Council for the £14k funding from the S106 contributions.”
The funding was S106 developer contribution secured through the planning process for development at the old Powermatic site, Winterhaye Lane, Ilminster.
The £14,188.39 was paid to Ilminster Town Council that managed the project.
