BRIGHTON Joy It is very sad to report that Joy Brighton of Staplegrove died on Thursday 11th January, after bravely fighting to make the most of her life after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease four years ago. Joy passed away peacefully with her husband and children at her bedside. Joy was well known for wonderfully imaginative seasonal flower displays in St Johns Church. She was a much loved member of the Parish in which she was active and known as The Flower Lady. Joy was a keen supporter of Somerset County Cricket. She was a member of Taunton Flower Show and exhibited with her husband. She was an active member of Staplegrove Womens Group and other local. The funeral service will be held at St Johns Staplegrove Church at 2.30 pm on Tuesday 23rd January. No mourning dress or flowers please, donations to St Margaret's Hospice Care and MND South West. Joy was a total JOY to all who met her and will be greatly missed.
