HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 The Somerset County Council (Footpath CH 1/9 (part) in the Parish of Ashill) Public Path Diversion Order, 2016
The above order made on 16 December 2016 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert:
1. Part of public footpath CH 1/9 starts from its junction with Hastings at grid reference 331,803 116,358 (point Z on the order plan) and runs In a generally south easterly direction for approximately 150 metres to its junction with the eastern spur of footpath CH 1/9 at point Y (grid reference 331,929 116,280). To a new route which starts from Hastings at grid reference 331,836 116,366 (point A on the order plan) and runs in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 135 metres to point X (grid reference 331,920 116,260) and then in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 22 metres to join the existing eastern spur of footpath CH 1/9 at point Y (grid reference 331,929 116,280) as shown on the order plan.

2. Part of public footpath CH 1 /9 starts from its junction with the eastern spur of footpath CH 1/9 at point Y (grid reference 331,929 116,280) and runs in a generally south south easterly direction for approximately 100 metres to point B (grid reference 331,972 116,186). To a new route which starts from point X (grid reference 331,920 116,260) and runs in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 90 metres to point B (grid reference 331,972 116,186) as shown on the order plan.

A copy of the order and the order plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at:
1 Environment Department, B2W, County Hall, Taunton (reception A Block ground floor) from 9.30am until 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Copies may be bought there at a price of £10.00.

2 South Somerset District Council, The Council Offices, Brympton Way Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 2HT from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Rights of Way Definitive Map Team, Environment Department, Somerset County Council, B2W, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY quoting reference RW/384L/SL to be received no later than 1 February 2017. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Somerset County Council may confirm this order as an unopposed order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it. At this stage they will be made available for public inspection. Prior to submission to the Secretary of State representations and objections will only be disclosed anonymously (i.e. with personal data redacted). Dated 4 January 2017
