JAYNE Turner has joined Taunton-based solicitors AmicusLaw as a partner and head of family law.
She qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and is experienced in all areas of family law, with particular emphasis on financial settlements for people divorcing or going through relationship breakdowns.
She has previously been a partner at two other South-West practices.
She specialises in more complex cases, including those with family businesses involved, and frequently acts for business people, farmers, professionals, members of the Armed Forces and ex-pats.
Jayne has Resolution Accreditation as a Specialist in Advanced Financial Provision on divorce and is among a handful of Somerset and Devon lawyers with Specialist Accreditation as experts at dealing with the complexities of pensions on divorce. She is also an Advanced Member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel.
Richard Haste, partner in AmicusLaw, based at Rumwell Hall, said: “We’re delighted to have been able to attract someone of Jayne’s calibre to our growing team.
“Her outstanding experience has enabled her to build a growing reputation throughout the region and she’ll bring an extra dimension to the services we offer.”
Jayne said: “This is an exciting move for me. I’ve been overwhelmed by the professional, yet friendly approach from everyone at AmicusLaw and am looking forward to helping drive an already successful law firm to even greater heights.”
