3S Reporting Ltd, an innovative local business owned by Musgrove Park Hospital, has developed a new Patient Experience, Staff Satisfaction and Outcome software service.

It is designed to support both private and NHS organisations in fully utilising their survey information - what they have, who knows about and understands it, and how ward staff and senior managers can use it to improve both performance and reputation.

The focus on increasing the quality and productivity of healthcare through innovation means that now, more than ever, healthcare providers need a good understanding of the fundamentals of quality improvement in order to deliver success.

3S’ extensive research into the challenges facing the healthcare industry on local, regional and national levels has enabled staff to develop a suite of products that have been labelled the 'ultimate tool in quality improvement'.

MPH is the largest acute hospital in Somerset, treating over 450,000 patients annually. It is working with digital media agency, HigherSites Group, supported by the Academic Health Science Network, to maximise the potential of NHS innovations.

Dr Nick Kennedy, clinical director, theatres and critical care at Musgrove, said: “The system has transformed the way we collect this data, making it incredibly easy and allowing us to get 100% coverage, with minimal time and effort. It's very impressive.”

Russell Nightingale, Musgrove’s corporate performance manager, is convinced that this system could benefit Trusts nationwide, and welcomes enquiries.
