MEDIATION refers to the process whereby a trained and qualified mediator assists you and your ex-partner to reach an agreement about various issues, following the breakdown of a relationship.

These can include children and arrangements such as who they will live with and what contact they will have with each parent.

Other issues include resolution of financial matters.

Apart from certain exceptions, mediation is now compulsory before any application to court can be made.

It can be cheaper, quicker and more amicable than resolving these matters through the court process, making the divorce process less stressful for all parties involved.

If you wish to discuss any issues and discuss mediation further, The Family Law Company offers free initial consultations by appointment at the Exchange House in Taunton.
