THE best of business in Somerset is being honoured once again.

The Somerset Business Awards is returning for a 12th year and officially launched at an event at the Mount Somerset Hotel on Thursday.

Organisers say the awards, backed by your County Gazette, provides an opportunity for Somerset businesses to showcase what they have to offer.

The annual awards ceremony takes place on Friday, October 21.

Jonathan Jones-Pratt, of Crosville Motor Services Ltd – the winner of the Skills for Growth award in 2015 – said: “We recognise it is critical to invest in people and to win a prestigious, local award is something to be proud of.

"Winning has been a company milestone for Crosville Motor Services, bringing the business to life in Somerset and without our staff, we wouldn’t be here.”

Businesses from all sectors, of varying shapes and sizes, can enter the Somerset Business Awards free of charge and enter as many categories as they wish.

This year there are 14 award categories, sponsored by a variety of exceptional local businesses, including Albert Goodman as the main sponsor for the sixth consecutive year.
