A TAUNTON boy has been selected as head boy at Brymore Academy.
Henry Scott, from Lydeard St Lawrence, was one of 14 boys to put themselves forward for the role of leading the Senior Student Leadership Team.
The hopeful head boys had to submit a written application and a presentation in front of the whole school, followed by a full panel interview.
He will be joined by Olla Hawthorne and Jack Thompson as deputy head boys and Oliver Newbury-Barlow, Cameron Moore and Jack Mills in his leadership team.
Mr Thomas, head of Brymore Academy, said: “It is never an easy thing to put your head above the parapet and say you want to be a leader but all of these boys stepped up to the mark and conducted themselves diligently throughout.
“It was an extremely hard choice as all the candidates were worthy of being there but Henry is an outstanding student and will be a really hardworking head boy.”
