Richard Biggs.

King’s College headmaster, Richard Biggs said: “We are a school with boarding, and therefore have community at our heart.

“This nurturing ethos is of huge value to both boarding and day pupils.

“We take a holistic view of education, which values and supports the talents and interests of every child. We are unashamedly forward-looking, but hold on to traditional values of scholarship and character.

“Our doors are always open to those wishing to come and visit.”

A good work ethic and small class sizes maximise progress. Specialist teaching has an emphasis on bringing out the best in individuals and instilling essential habits and skills - courtesy and respect, resilience, creativity, curiosity and confidence.

Outstanding modern facilities and stunning locations ensure children enjoy a challenging all-round education in a progressive, secure and stimulating environment.

Pupils work hard, following a traditional curriculum taught by teachers with a deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm.

They inspire a natural love of learning and 98 per cent of King’s College students go to university.

Alumni include GB hockey goalkeeper Maddie Hinch, feminist writer Laura Bates and England cricketer Jos Buttler.

They think of themselves as cheerful, busy and purposeful schools. Pupils leave well-qualified, well-rounded and balanced.

Justin Chippendale, headmaster at King’s Hall, said: “We provide a fabulous educational experience founded on the premise that we are passionate about ‘building people’.

“We aim to maximise potential through instilling in children the confidence to be the best version of themselves they can be.

“The atmosphere is warm, purposeful and friendly where the children are immersed in nurturing cultures.”
