Input from staff at Mole Valley Farmers has helped the company to secure their prestigious Investors in People (IIP) status once again, 15 years after first receiving it.

IIP is recognised across the world as a mark of business excellence. To achieve it, companies need to demonstrate they effectively communicate with, and empower their staff, for optimum performance. Kevin Phillips, of IIP said of Mole Valley Farmers: “This was once again a very positive assessment of an outstanding company. So much of what Mole Valley Farmers does is such excellent practice that it is difficult to know where to start! There is an effective balance between the commercial aspects of the business and the development of staff, which provides the foundations for the achievement of the company’s main aim – to provide excellent service to customers.”

Kevin continued: “It is evident that Mole Valley Farmers does an excellent job of engaging staff and gaining their commitment to ‘go the extra mile’ to please the customer. We heard many examples of this, a great sense of satisfaction in developing good relationships with customers, and an equally real sense of pride in working for Mole. “ Just some of the feedback given by staff included: ‘As a company, I really can’t fault them. I’d give them ten out of ten.’ ‘Strong team spirit.’ ‘Great relationships with our customers.’ ‘It’s like one big family.’ ‘We’re the top company to work for in our field.’ ‘I’m proud to be part of a growing, forward thinking company.’ ‘I’m passionate about the business.’ ‘I’m proud of my job and all that Mole stands for. It’s a way of life for us. I’m passionate about it.’ Rose Cockerill, Head of Human Resources said: “We are delighted that once again, after a comprehensive assessment across many of our locations, the company has received both a glowing report and the IIP award. We recognise our staff are absolutely vital to the ongoing success of Mole Valley Farmers and would like to thank them for their many positive comments. For our business to continue to progress, we will maintain our focus on customer care and empower our staff to value and deliver it”.
