breakfast means business for the addington fund in support of british farmers

January 2017

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially when it is being consumed in aid of the Addington Fund, a national charity which helps farmers in times of hardship and crisis. From January to March, breakfasts are being held from Cornwall to Cumbria to raise money for the Fund. Generously hosted for free in local restaurants, pubs, village halls and county shows these events ensure breakfast means business when it comes to a good cause. Contributing to the Addington Fund’s coffers is a good enough reason for many farmers to gather together, but they will also be able to consume some of the best British breakfast foods, including debbie&andrew’s sausages which have been donated for free.

Local farmers and rural businesses in Cornwall will be able to attend the event on Thursday 19th January. It will be held at Griggs Country Store in Lower Sticker from 8.00am to 11.00am and places are still available.

These breakfasts also play an important role in bringing together rural business people, providing a significant networking opportunity that is much valued by the participants. In the past they have attracted attendees from across the rural business spectrum from farmers to local retailers, hotels and restaurants, banks, business advisors, accountants and lawyers. In 2016 these breakfasts generated £22,828 and the aim is to exceed this in 2017. More details area available on: www.addingtonfund.org.uk/events/farmhouse-breakfast-events-2017
