The Jersey Cattle Society have announced a new showcase for the Jersey breed, which will take place on Wednesday October 4.
The Jersey Cattle Society National Show will take place at The Dairy Show at the Bath & West Showground.
Classes will be held for calves and showmanship on the evening of October 3, with a full range of Jersey classes the following morning.
The Jersey Cattle Society are thrilled to welcome Robert Jarrell of RJF Jerseys to judge this prestigious event.
RJF Jerseys were awarded the Master Breeder Herd shield in 2008 and have developed many All Canadian, Star Brood Cows and Champion Show Cows.
Robert was awarded Champion Cow at the World Dairy Expo as well as Junior champion at Louisville, Kentucky, and All American Junior Herd 2008.
He has also won numerous Premier Breeder and Exhibitor banners at many major shows in Ontario.
Robert and his family are very involved right across the Jersey committees of Canada, and the society are honoured that Robert has accepted the invitation to judge.
Alan Lyons, head of Shows, said: "We are delighted to welcome the National Jersey Show to The Dairy Show.
"Jersey classes have always been strong at The Dairy Show, and we look forward to welcoming Jersey Exhibitors old and new to the Showground in October."
Steven Bland, Jersey Cattle Society Chairman added, “this is a great opportunity for the Jersey breed to showcase itself at a Premier Autumn Dairy Show."
