THE Charterhouse two day August auction includes a gentleman’s Rolex wristwatch estimated to sell for £3,500-4,000.
“Rolex is a prestigious brand synonymous with the highest quality. As a result they are highly sought-after even second, third or fourth hand.” said Richard Bromell. “However, as usual, condition plays a big role in the value and the Rolex we have been instructed to sell is in superb condition having hardly been worn.”
As a brand, Rolex is present at the most prestigious sporting events including Wimbledon and Formula 1 along with many others such as golf, sailing and equestrian events, making it one of the most desirable watches to own and wear.
The gold and stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date just going under the Charterhouse hammer looks like new despite being 15 years old. Having been purchased on a trip to Germany, it retains its original leather covered box, cardboard outer box, guarantee and other paperwork, which results in its auction estimate of £3,500-4,000.
Charterhouse is now accepting further entries for their summer programme of specialist auctions which include watches, silver, jewellery and wine on August 24 and 25, and classic and vintage motorcycles on September 1 followed by classic and vintage cars on September 13.
