AUCTIONEERS Greenslade Taylor Hunt will be staging a unique clearance sale at the Burtle Inn, Burtle, near Bridgwater, on Friday, November 24, when the pub’s entire fixtures, fittings and contents will go under the hammer.
It is really a case of time ladies and gentlemen please as everything from the now defunct pub will go up for sale including two bronze “last order “ bells. All lots are sold without reserve. A full list of items on offer will be available on sale day.
There is a diverse range of items for sale from pub tables, chairs and glasses to the 25’ elm bar, elm settles and panelling, along with light fittings, a blacksmith’s forge, anvil and tools.
There are also examples of taxidermy, sherry barrels, a horse drawn cart, glasses, stools and benches, plus three streetlights and a gong.
Viewing takes place from 9am and the sale gets underway at 12 noon.
