Ram Lambs sold as store lambs are to be declared. Those lots so declared to not contain any ram lambs, which are found post sale to contain undeclared ram lambs, will attract a 25% reduction in the sale price of any ram lambs found. Similarly Cryptorchids are to be declared.

Grazing Ewes and Rams (704):

A smaller entry again of 704 grazing ewes and rams of overall better quality sold to a much dearer trade for all presented. The best sold to £119 from Mr D Marks. The very best remained a good trade, however any outfits with plain ewes or small lambs were difficult to place. Goats (56): A much larger entry of 56 goats sold to a very strong trade when strong billies sold to £107 from Mr S Jacks and nannies to £99.50 from Messrs RG, AJ & JA Habberfield and Mrs L McRae to average £69.89.

Orphan Lambs (31): A smaller entry of orphans sold to a stronger trade throughout. The best from Messrs M & S Waldock sold to £28, followed by strong types from Mr H Powell to £25 (7) and Mr PR Lock to £25 (4).

Dairy breeds, again as dear as seen in recent years, if not the dearest. Top was 137.5ppk for a young (45m) Holstein (640kg) from Messrs MJ Frampton & Sons, Broadwindsor, who sold another (Holstein & 32m) at 134.5ppk.
