A SUPERB collection of model trains is to be sold by Lawrences Auctioneers of Crewkerne.
The collection, assembled by a gentleman in Bridport over many years, includes a large quantity of boxed locomotives and rolling stock. Makers include Hornby, Bachmann, Heljan, Dapol and others, with many in almost untouched condition. For local collectors there is also a Hornby ‘Weymouth’ locomotive, in its original box.
Auctioneer Simon Jones said “This is a lovely group for collectors and should attract a great deal of interest from enthusiasts. Trains continue to be extremely popular in auction and our collectors sales are very popular with buyers.”
The trains will be included in Lawrences’ May collectors’ and militaria sale and will be sold on Friday, May 12. Estimates range from £50-150. For enquiries about this sale contact Simon Jones on 01460-73041.
