THE largest one day machinery sale in the South West takes place on Thursday, April 6, 2017, where Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s team of experienced auctioneers will conduct the sale of an anticipated 3,000 plus lots of tractors, farm machinery, implements and effects.

The first of Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s on farm dispersal sales earlier this month created a huge amount of interest when Neville Hughes from Dowlais Farm, Clevedon dispersed his machinery with a 1995 Massey Ferguson 390 selling for £8,050, a circa 20 year old John Deere 1350 trailed mower conditioner selling for £2,950.

Auctioneer Derek Biss commented: "The demand for second hand machinery and tractors at this sale was extremely strong from both dealers and farmers and if this trade is a glimpse of what we will see at Walford Cross - we are heading for another record year."

With the sun currently shining on the sale field, which is located right off the A38 between North Petherton and Taunton, everything is primed to stage the sale with booking in of entries taken between 9am- 4pm on Tuesday, April 4 and Wednesday, April 5. The sale field will then be open for viewing between 4pm-7pm on the Wednesday and open on the sale day (Thursday 6) from 8am.

The first of the sales commences at 9am with up to five auctions running at once during the day. The mammoth sale has taken months of planning. With a huge variety of items and the large number of lots on offer there is literally something for everyone. Anybody who has not previously traded with the auctioneers is reminded to bring photographic ID and proof of address in order to obtain a bidding number.
