AUCTIONEERS Greenslade Taylor Hunt were followed by a large contingent of South West Purchasers to the “Ashlea” and “Olympic” Dispersal at Yate, Bristol on Tuesday 25th April for MJ & LJ Robertson & Daughter. The excellent breeding on offer produced the highest herd average seen for many years at £1875 with the incalf and recently served heifers averaging £1493 and bulling heifer £1218.

The cover girl “Ashlea Atwood Lavender VG88” topped the sale at 4100gns to join the “Panda” herd. At 3600gns was the VG86 heifer “Ashlea Deman Edda” from 11 generations of VG or Ex dams, she travels to JM & BS Jones to join the “Larchwood” herd. Her heifer calf by “Wiltor Dreamer” with a PLI of £466 sold for 1600gns to “Lynchmead”.

The much admired “Shottle Alchemy Emma Red 2nd VG88” sold for 3500gns to Nick Kay’s “Opencountry” herd. Close behind was the Ex91-2E 5th calver “VVH Isa 6th” at 3200gns and the show cow “Panda Allyander Fools Gold ET VG88” at 3000gns.

The “Emma” family produced the highest priced incalf heifer “Olympic Colt Emma Red” at 2800gns as well as the yearling “Olympic Artist Emma Red” at 1800gns and heifer calf “Dreamer Emma” at 1400gns.

June 2016 born heifers sold to 2300gns for “Ashlea Joshi Lila Z” who goes back to the Million Dollar cow and travels to Devon to an undisclosed purchaser.

The VG87 second calver Jersey “Olympic Tequila Starlight” sold for 2000gns to join the Warren family in Cornwall.

The cattle travelled to no less than 10 different Counties across Cornwall to Leicester and produced the following averages:
