Breeding Ewes (365): Scanned in lamb shearling Poll Dorsets topped the special Breeding Ewe Sale when they sold for £130 and £120 from Mr M Clunes. The ewe lamb section was topped by Messrs MJ & RSM Barrow with 98 Suffolk cross Mules, which all sold for £90/head. A price matched by Messrs KH & PA Govier and Mr J Baker both with Charollais cross ewe lambs. Overall average £82.86.

2 Ewes and 2 Lambs: The first entry of couples of the season saw smart singles sell at £140 (£70/life) from Mr RAC Burton.

Stock Rams (64): A good entry for the time of year when 64 were forward for the catalogued sale. Overall a good trade as a good number of buyers were in attendance and resulted in a clearance rate of 90%. Top price went to Messrs FH Chave & Son who sold a cracking pedigree 2T Texel for £400 and another from the same home sold to £290. Pedigree Suffolk 2T from Mr B Gibbins sold to £260. Two pure bred Poll Dorsets forward from Mr T Wybrew also sold well, when a 2T sold to £255 and a ram lamb sold to £240. Rams again next week.

Goats (45): A larger entry of 45 good quality goats sold to a strong trade when nannies sold to £105, £97 and £96.50 from Bagborough Farm Ltd and wethers to £89 from Habberfield Park Farm to average £94.06.
