A NEW team at Tamlyns Auction Rooms has prompted a few changes to the Tamlyns sale calendar, with a new style of auction being held at their Bridgwater salerooms.

Ed Bailey, Tamlyns’ general valuer and book and map specialist, has taken the reins and will be concentrating on co-ordinating monthly auctions, the first of which will be held on May 16.

The sales are likely to include a wide selection of ceramics, glass, pictures, furniture, decorative items, books, maps, clocks and many more items. The team are currently busy cataloguing items for the May sale and are still welcoming any further lot entries. They also look forward to seeing what interesting antiques and collectibles come in, to build up their specialist sale which will be held later in the year – date to be confirmed.

“This is a new chapter for the saleroom, and I am very much looking forward to greeting vendors and buyers alike and, as always, we are excited to see what comes through the doors to be sold each month”, says Ed Bailey, general valuer.

“The important message is that despite the change in faces, we are still offering the same services as we always have done, such as free valuations, probate valuations and house clearances.

“It’s an exciting time for the business of Tamlyns, with new staff and other investments being made across the company. Look out for our new, refreshed branding as well as a new website – to be launched soon!”
