INTREPID hikers from Greenslade Taylor Hunt took part in the annual Moonraker Challenge and raised £500 for local charities.

A record number of teams set off from Hestercombe House, at Cheddon Fitzpaine and had to navigate a moonlit course across the Quantocks aided by clues along the way before winding up at Fyne Court.

Teams could opt for a seven-mile or 15 mile route. Proceeds go to the Devon and Somerset Air Ambulance and Rotary charities including Taunton Opportunity Playgroup.

The GTH team comprised GTH Chairman, Tony Overhill, Derek Biss, one of the partners, and his wife Samantha, who works in the firm’s antiques department in Taunton, Susie Westcott, partnership secretary and her daughter Harriet, plus Beverley Alderson, from Taunton Vale Rotary Club, the event organisers.
