DAN Carnell of Greenslade Taylor Hunt has plenty to celebrate. He has just passed his letting agency exams and has been promoted to maintenance manager at the Lettings Division of the firm.

Delighted Dan can now put MARLA after his name as he is now a member of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents.

He has powered through the exams in a matter of months and is already looking to qualify for the next level.

Sonia Matthews, who heads up Greenslade Taylor Hunt’S Lettings Department, said: “Dan deserves to be commended for storming through his exams whilst holding down a very busy and responsible job. His promotion to Maintenance Manager is well deserved as the workload in the department is relentless and for him to be able to revise for exams whilst providing excellent customer service shows what an asset he is not only to the department but to the company as a whole. I’m delighted to have another member of my team qualify as it’s my belief that having skilled members of staff enables us as a firm to provide our clients the best service possible.”

Dan, who is based at Hammet Street, Taunton, and has worked for Greenslade Taylor Hunt for nearly three years loves his job.

“It’s different every day. It’s so varied,” he said.

Dan was keen to gain his ARLA qualifications as he recognises what a minefield the lettings industry can be without a good working knowledge of the latest regulations.

The MARLA professional qualification gives landlords and tenants alike confidence that members keep up-to-date with the latest laws and regulations that affect the lettings sector.

Property legislation is constantly changing and membership of ARLA Propertymark ensures that members are informed and knowledgeable about the latest legislation.

Crucially ARLA Propertymark protects consumers and their money by holding members accountable and empowering customers with knowledge and advice.
