WELL loved Cornish comedian Kernow King presents his own fond portrayal of one of the county's most famous sons, the inventor and mining engineer, Richard Trevithick.

Born in Tregajorran, Trevithick revolutionised the use of steam as a successful and profitable means of energy, much to the terror of his rivals.

Fear, death and industrial developments were rife in eighteenth century Great Britain, and it was Trevithick's genius that led to steam power being put on rails and roads. But it was never easy.

The play tells the great man's story accurately, comically, musically and relevant to the world we live in today. It brings to the stage the story of a man who was so dedicated and obsessed by engineering, he left his family in Cornwall whilst he mined in South America for eleven years.

Tinged by tragedy, steeped in accolade, loved by many, Trevithick, is a biographical comedy that will bring joy to your heart and set your brain whirring like a four way valve on a steam engine.
