From acclaimed writer/director Jeff Nichols, Loving celebrates the reallife courage and commitment of an interracial couple, Richard and Mildred Loving (portrayed by Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga), who married and then spent the next nine years fighting for the right to live as a family in their hometown.

Their civil rights case, Loving v. Virginia, went all the way to the Supreme Court, which in 1967 reaffirmed the very foundation of the right to marry – and their love story has become an inspiration ever since.

It was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

Ticket Prices: adult from £8; senior from £7 and child from £6.

The film starts at The Brewhouse at 7.30pm.

He is a two foot tall puppet and he will be at the Tacchi-Morris Theatre today.

Fred wants to be a regular guy: get a job, meet a girl, settle down. But when threatened with losing his PLA (Puppetry Living Allowance), Fred’s life begins to spiral out of his control. Starring a potty-mouthed but loveable puppet, Meet Fred takes a timely look at what it is to be disadvantaged in today’s society and is performed by actors both with and without disabilities. Punchy, comical and not afraid to say it how it is, the show follows an outsider who is trying to make his mark in a world in which he needs a lot of help.
