A TRIPLE bill of comedy will explode on the stage in Somerset thanks to an all female cast.

The much-loved and acclaimed Baroque Theatre Company will perform a Comedy Triple Bill featuring three short plays in one hilarious evening of fastpaced performances.

The Triple header kicks off with Last Tango in Little Grimley written by David Tristram, one of the UK’s most popular and respected playwrights.

The second play, A Jolly Sinister Jape by writer Elliot Strange, is a pastiche 1920’s thriller with a plot that defies description.

And the evening ends with David Tristram’s Last Panto in Little Grimley, a sequel to Last Tango in Little Grimley.

The cast features Baroque Theatre Company founder and actress Claire Bibby from Kent, Plymouth born Patricia Derrick, Talitha Willsea from Norwich and Hampshire born Sally Blouet who makes her Baroque Theatre Company debut.

Baroque Theatre Company Founder Claire Bibby said: “This is Baroque Theatre Company’s 16th tour and I’m particularly excited this year the playwright David Tristram has given permission for Adam Morley, our Artistic Director, to adapt the dialogue for the all female cast.

“To have an all female cast doesn’t happen too often and these shows have been re-written from a different perspective as it now has a new dynamic.

Somerset County Gazette:

“Some plays do not matter even if you change the gender. It doesn’t change anything about the story. All it means is there is an all female lead.

“The characters in the play are very vivid and vibrant.

“They are all different and allow us time to build up the characters.

“I used to run a management business/office marketing and then I got the acting bug.

“I started acting two years ago and realised it meant more to me.

“When I was in Kent I decided to start my own theatre company.

I knew I could do it as I had been in management and had run my own business.

“It was a huge career change but I am so glad I did it. I went to drama college and I am now getting to do what I want to do.

“It means travelling a lot but I love going to new venues. I really enjoy what I am doing and very day is a challenge.”

Adam Morley, Artistic Director added: “I’m especially honoured to revive this hugely successful Comedy Triple Bill bringing to the stage a show in the mould of a classic British Sitcom and a homage to the greats of UK comedy including Fawlty Towers, The Vicar of Dibley, and Only Fools and Horses.
