AS far as the lead singer of Supreme Queen is concerned it has always been about the music.
Scott Maley who is Freddie Mercury in the tribute band has been crafting and honing his skills as the lead singer for 21/22 years.
He feels blessed to be able to do this role and for the band to give the audience a spot on Queen Experience-as though the were watching the real band live.
Taking up the story of how the group began, Scott said: “We started off in the 1990s as Killer Queen then in 1995 we officially became Supreme Queen. We have been doing this for 21/22 years.
"When we started off as a band we were playing the clubs and the working men’s club as a tribute act.
"We would play a number of covers and then at the end of the evening do 30 minutes of Queen numbers. This started to become more popular and gradually it took over and dominate the set.
"When this happened, as a band we decided this was the way to go as so many people were asking for Queen songs.
"So by 1995 we became a full time Queen tribute act. When I started for me it was always the music, music and music.
"So when I was singing the Queen songs it all seemed very natural. It was something I could see people enjoyed.
“What I enjoyed was the passion and knowledge of Queen as well as getting the mannerisms of Freddie Mercury spot on.
“On stage I am projecting an image of a performer whilst off stage I am very quite and personal.
“What I am doing I really enjoy.
I believe what I am doing is giving something back.
“I am lucky and blessed to do what I do and hope I can represent at our shows the best we can with the best performance.”
