AN elegantly engineered ballet fusing slapstick and pathos was served up in one Ford Orion called Stanley which took its three travellers for a RIDE.
The timing of this supersonic super sensational RIDE was brought to all those who came along to watch this performance by the ZoieLogic Dance Theatre.
They gave the audience a ride of the imagination, a flight of fancy wrapped up in a magical mystery of movement and delight.
The car was one of the stars who transported the three passengers, a wrestling fan (Niko Van Harlekin), a business man (Alex Evens) and a backpacker (Benjamin Jones) on the journey of their lives.
There was very little talking between the three, it was a case of letting the dance do the talking, which it did loud and clear.
Amongst the songs included in the show were Driving in my Car by Madness; the theme tune to Mission Impossible and Cars by Gary Newman.
The 20 minute show outside the Brewhouse Theatre was a wonder to behold. It started slowly and then built up to a high octane ending.
What the three characters learnt at the end of it was you have to work together to get on life’s journey.
The crowd learnt how much they enjoy this Ride and not doubt would have liked to go on another one straight away.
