THE curtain is about to go up on the Halse Players next production.

The cast and crew are ready for their next performer which will be Fondly Remembered by Gareth Armstrong.

The plot of this play surrounds Four friends from the world of stage, either retired or on the verge of doing so, are brought together by a request in the Will of a former colleague.

They are asked to plan a memorial service for him, and their collective memories are gossipy, sad, sour, scandalous and the rest. They also portray someone who seems to be rather different to the person they remember.

The service is to be taken by a vicar who finds the group bemusing and fascinating.

The play is held at Halse Village Hall on August 18 and 19 at 7.30pm Tickets coast £8 inc programme and can be bought from Kathryn on 01823 433698.
