TAUNTON Amateur Operatic Society is back with a colourful cast of characters including Fagin, the Artful Dodger, and Nancy – as well as classic script lines such as “Please Sir, can I have some more?” and “Got to pick a pocket or two boys, got to pick a pocket or two”.
Sometimes dark and gritty, other times humorous and light, this heart-warming production of Oliver!
carries some all time favourite musical tunes including: Consider Yourself, Food Glorious Food, Who Will Buy, As Long As He Needs Me, Its Fine Life and Oom Pah, Pah!
Director Philip Cox, musical director David Hedges, and choreographer Beth Cox, inspire an energetic adult and junior cast.
It’s not often the society has the chance to stage productions which include a full junior company.
