IT will all be happening down at The Quay in Bridgwater.
The Quayside Festival is Bridgwater’s free outdoor summer festival on Saturday, July 21, from 11am-5pm..
There will be an array of live music, arts and entertainment across five locations in the centre of the town.
They can be found in Blake Gardens, West Quay, Fore Street, Angel Place, Eastover (and associated activities with the Bridgwater Cultural Partners)
The festival will celebrate Bridgwater’s and Sedgemoor’s diverse and creative culture and showcase both local talent and national artists.
The organisers, Fuseperformance are working with the Bridgwater Cultural Partnership to create an exciting programme of live music, street theatre, dance, performances, circus and aerial trapeze.
This year, the festival includes a children’s summer parade with sculptures that they have made in school workshops.
Headline performances include Madinga’s ‘Monkey Business’ and ‘Horace the Pliosaur’ a giant, 35-foot long creature by Emerald Ant. There will be a wide range of family activities with something for everyone.
The Festival is commissioned by Sedgemoor District Council with funding from Bridgwater Town Council and the Arts Council of England.
