The UK’s biggest girl band, The Saturdays, are back with their latest album, 'On Your Radar', released on November 21, through Polydor Records.

It is the girl’s most diverse and accomplished album yet. Summing up the album is not easy; ranging from the swooning melodies of My Heart Takes Over, to the fizzy delirium of Move On You, pensive piano ballad Last Call to the banging top ten smash hit singles All Fired Up and Notorious.

Group member Frankie Sandford says that the one word that pulls all the songs together is ‘personal’ “Making this album has completely reignitied all the drive and passion we had for recording,” said Rochelle Wiseman. “That feeling is more intense now than it’s ever been before.”

The girls co-wrote seven songs on On Your Radar and also continued to work with some of the industry’s finest talents, such as Steve Mac and Ina Wroldsen, who were behind My Heart Takes Over and the infectious Notorious, and Xenomania who worked with the girls on Get Ready, Get Set and game-changing single All Fired Up.

Elsewhere you’ll find a guest appearance from Travie McCoy, whom they first met at last year’s MOBO Awards, popping up on The Way You Watch Me.

Since forming in 2007 the multi platinum-selling The Saturdays have become a household name, scoring 10 Top 10 singles, including signature hits like Ego and Higher and three Top 10 albums (Chasing Lights, Wordshaker and Headlines). They have sold out two nationwide headline tours - with tickets flying out of the door for 2011’s nationwide arena tour, their biggest to date. On top of this, they have built up a huge, loyal fan base with over 800,000 fans on Facebook, over 1.6 million combined followers on twitter, and over 50 million views on YouTube. As a result, they have attracted their own fly-on-the-wall TV shows The Saturdays 24/7 and What Goes On Tour and major sponsorship deals from the likes of Nintendo.

With an exciting new album imminent and single My Heart Takes Over out on November 14, the band’s quest for world domination is rapidly moving from slow and steady to fast and furious.

And the Gazette is expecting an on-line interview with the girls very shortly so keeping watching this section of our website.
