AN all-new programme of memories is brought to life on the silver screen with Take Art's Silver Screen Somerset Film & Video programme.

In a rapidly changing world, this highly entertaining shows provides an opportunity to look back and reflect.

Highlights include a nostalgic ride on the Highbridge to Evercreech railway in 1966, autogyros and biplanes in the Somerset skies, Crowcombe church spire destroyed by lightening, the Home Guard on manoeuvres and the Daily Mirror eight formation dancers at Burnham-on-Sea - all from the 1930s.

Shows include a sample of the archive of tomorrow, with an up-to-the-minute short film on Somerset life today.

If you know of any local film that should be included for a particular show, you can let the organisers know and they will try and fit it in.
