Dulverton Films will screen the acclaimed tender and perceptive film X + Y in Dulverton Town Hall on Friday, January 8 at 7.30pm.
In a world difficult to comprehend, Nathan struggles to connect with those around him, most of all with his loving mother, but finds comfort in numbers.
When he is taken under the wing of unconventional and anarchic teacher, Mr. Humphreys, the pair forge an unusual friendship and Nathan's talents win him a place on the UK team at the International Mathematics Olympiad.
From suburban England to bustling Taipei and back again, Nathan builds complex relationships as he is confronted by the irrational nature of love. The result is a charming, funny and consistently heartwarming film.
Tickets cost £3 for Dulverton Film members, £4.50 for adults, £2.50 for children and students in full time education and, and are available from Dulverton Post Office, telephone 01398 323474 or email Jan Ross on janaross2003@yahoo.co.uk . Tickets may be available on the door.
