A MIXTURE of children's animation and high-octane action will be showing at Taunton's Odeon Cinema from tomorrow (Friday).

Happily N'Ever is set in Fairly Tale Land and Cinderella is at the top of the ball, Rapunzel's letting her hair down and Sleeping Beauty's about to get a big smooch.

However, just as it's headed for Happily Ever After, there's a slight hitch. The wizard who keeps the scales of Good and Evil balanced goes on holiday, and his two assistants mess up and let Cinderella's wicked stepmother Frieda get hold of his magic and turn the ending of all the stories into Happily N'Ever After.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr are amongst lending their voices to this animated adventure.

Another CG animation starting Friday is Surf's Up. Up and coming surfer Cody the Rockhopper penguin is entering his first pro competition, with a camera crew to document his experiences.

Leaving his family behind in Shiverpool, Antarctica, he travels to Pen Gu Island for the Big Z Memorial Surf-Off. Cody thinks winning will bring him the admiration he desires, but when he comes face-to-face with a washed-up surfer called Geek, Cody discovers that a true winner isn't always the one who comes first.

Jeff Bridges, James Woods and Kelly Slater lend their voices to Surf's Up.

In a totally different type of film, Rush Hour 3 will also be showing. In the third outing for LAPD detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) and chief inspector Lee (Jackie Chan), the duo travel to Paris to battle a wing of the Chinese organised crime family, the Triads.

Brett Ratner is once again in the director's chair, Vinnie Jones make a cameo appearance, while Roman Polanksi plays Detective Revi.
