INTERNATIONAL saxophonist David White will be playing eight different saxophones in an exciting concert at St Bartholomew’s Church, Crewkerne, on Sunday, February 28, at 3pm.

David studied at the Royal Academy of Music and regularly performs with major symphony orchestras. As a soloist he has given the first performances of several new works and has appeared as a featured soloist on albums by John Barry and Carl Davis.

He is a member of the London Musicians Orchestra, which has recorded albums with artists such as Jose Carreras, Michael Ball, Maria Friedman and Andrew Lloyd Webber. As a member of Saxpak, David has performed regularly both in Britain and abroad playing the sopranino and newly invented tubax.

David will be accompanied by Jonathan Delbridge. Jonathan runs a piano teaching business called JD Music Services in Crewkerne but also performs at venues throughout the UK including the Royal Albert Hall, York Minster and Norwich Cathedral. Jonathan is known for his exciting and varied concert programmes and is a versatile musician, performing major classical works, jazz standards and his own improvisations.

Some of the 8 eight saxophones David will use in his programme have only been recently invented. He is one of only three saxophonists known to own a Tubax, which he recently performed on in the Harry Potter movie soundtrack.
