Talented local musicians present an evening of musical cherry-picking
The Bushel Lights - Lisa Tustian, Alison Pink, Gareth Dayus-Jones and Christian Hopwood.
Friday, April 29 at 8.pm in Milverton church.
Ranging across the centuries of English music, with occasional sojourns to the Continent, this concert is a quirky, eclectic and light-hearted journey of exploration, through gorgeous vocal, piano and instrumental music.
With solo, duet and ensemble performances on an array of instruments and voices, from early pastoral delights, folk song from who knows when, romantic myth and legend via Shakespeare, into the 20th century. Including music from Purcell, Handel, Finzi, Grainger, Bridge, Elgar, Mendelssohn, Ravel, and that all-time great, Anon.
The programme will appeal to old and young and is full of surprises.
Tickets: £16, £13 and £8 (students £2) can be purchased via www.milvertonconcerts.org, or 0333 666 3366, from Milverton Stores or on the door on the night, if still available.
