AN illustrious line-up of classical music superstars perform together at Whitelackington Manor in aid of the unique West Country charitable trust, Concerts in the West.
Leading the concert will be the internationally renowned conductor and harpsichordist Laurence Cummings who will partner the dazzling young soprano Ruby Hughes in a delightful mixed programme consisting of arias composed by Handel for the Italian singer Giulia Frasi, as well as songs and music by his Baroque contemporaries.
Laurence and Ruby will also be joined by a trio of string players from the dynamic Kruger Quartet, including violinists Helen Kruger and Claudia Norz and cellist Carina Drury, whose expressive playing is well known to Concerts in the West audiences.
Additional choral performances will be given by an elite choral group - The Phoenix Singers - who will be directed by Laurence in performances of choruses from Handel’s oratorios, Susanna and Hercules.
Sunday, June 19. To order tickets and reserve a seat, email concertsinthewest@gmail.com or call Catherine Hodgson on 01460 53500.
