HAVING come to the attention of the nation in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside, Ray Quinn hasn’t looked back.

In 2006, he appeared in The X Factor, with his performances watched by more than 12 million viewers.

His debut album, Doing It My Way, followed and sold more than 300,000 copies.

A stint in the West End followed, which saw his talents appear in shows including Grease, Dirty Dancing and Legally Blonde.

Now, the multi-talented star is bringing his No Man’s Land Tour to Somerset, appearing at The Octagon Theatre, in Yeovil, on Saturday.

And fans can expect a taste of his eagerly-anticipated second album at the show, which he has been working on with a team of songwriters and producers as he plots a return to the charts.

A spokesman for the artist said: “Ray returned to the studio in 2015 to start work on a new commercial sound that would return him to his music.

“Working with a team of songwriters and producers in London, he has been creating an album of original songs for his eagerly awaited second album.”

Tickets for the concert, which gets underway at 7.30pm, cost £22.50, with VIP tickets available for £36.
