SOMERSET band Raising Cain will be playing on Sunday, May 7, at Party in the Park, Manor Gardens, making their first full appearance in Burnham-on-Sea in the process.

Raising Cain is a Pop & Rock covers band, formed by local guitarists Steve Brown and Jason Grey after the amicable split of their previous country rock outfit Kyotie.

The band is a 6 piece consisting of Emma Horton on main vocals, Steve Brown on guitars, Cliff Barker on keyboards, Matt Frisby from Weston-Super-Mare on bass guitar, Jason Grey on vocals and guitars, and with new drummer Richard Gamblin playing his first gig after very recently joining the band.

With an exciting set list of pop rock and classic rock covers lined up ready, the band is really looking forward to appearing at the event, especially playing to a home crowd audience.

Spokesman Jason Grey says “It’s a privilege to be asked to play Party in the Park again, and we can’t wait to get out there and do it, although we do expect some extra nervous energy this being our first gig here in our home town of course.

"Similar events that we played at last year went extremely well, but we are all keeping our fingers crossed for good weather for sure.”

The band appearance is expected to start at 16:15 and will last 1 hour.
