THIS week’s Tracks of my Life is with Jenny Keogh,Somerset Artist and Curator, ceo of GoCreate cic and Taunton Live Arts Festival

TRACK 1: ‘The Great Gig In The Sky (2011 Remastered)’ by Pink Floyd I was born at home in Bristol in 1978 to the sounds of Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark side of the moon’ (says my mum) and Elton John’s ‘’Goodbye Yellow brick road’ (says my dad)... were they at the same birth I wonder? Perhaps this strange mix might also have had an influence on my Artistic nature...

TRACK 2: ‘Mustt Mustt’ by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (Massive Attack Remix) I grew up spending my summers at Festivals such as WOMAD, Glastonbury and The Elephant Fair. I then spend time traveling the World in my late teens. World Music has to be my second track but with an influence of my hometown, Bristol.

TRACK 3: ‘People are strange’ by The Doors I spent many hours listening to The Doors as a teenager.

I was fascinated by the band, Jim Morrison and his incredible use of poetic imagery in his lyrics.

TRACK 4: ‘9 to 5’ by Dolly Parton Up beat and reminiscent of my days both as a single mother and also with a strong network of female friendships to laugh, dance or sing away the bad times.

TRACK 5: ‘I walk the line’ by Johnny Cash Quite simply a classic, and it just so happens to be the song I chose to walk down the isle to marry my husband to.
