THIS week’s Track’s of my Life is with Hannah Lury, marketing officer at the Octagon Theatre, Yeovil.
Hannah's tracks of choice are:
TRACK 1. Snakes – Bastille
Bastille are my favourite band and so this song has loads of happy memories associated with it for me (because it’s almost always playing). Many a road trip has seen me singing along and joining in on the brilliant drum beat in the chorus.
TRACK 2: Beauty and the Beast – Beauty and the Beast (Animated Version)
Who doesn’t love a Disney movie and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is my favourite. I love the new live-action remake but I’m afraid no one can beat Angela Lansbury’s classic, original version.
TRACK 3. Reach – S Club 7
As well as being an iconic band of my childhood, this song reminds me of my old dance school and being in the Juvenile Ensemble of the annual professional pantomimes at The Octagon Theatre many moons before I started working as Marketing Officer.
TRACK 4. Paradise – George Ezra
A more recent track this time. I love George Ezra and in particular his new album! This track is also going to feature in my wedding next year so it’s very special to me.
TRACK 5. All I Ask Of You – Phantom of the Opera
This last track was tough as I knew I wanted a musical and there are too many to choose from: ‘Hamilton’, ‘Dear Evan Hansen’, ‘Book of Mormon’, ‘Legally Blonde’… In the end I went for a classic from my favourite West End show.
