The 10 year anniversary of the July 7 bombings in London has sparked a flurry of emotional tributes across social media.

And many celebrities have joined everyone else in paying tribute to the 52 victims who lost their lives when suicide bombers targeted people using public transport during the morning rush hour in 2005.

Like many people, whose loved ones narrowly escaped death or were nearby one of the four attacks, Lauren Laverne, whose husband was near King’s Cross, told a story in three tweets.

Many other famous faces, including TV presenter Dermot O’Leary, shared their messages of hope.

Here’s what journalist and author Tony Parsons said.

Actor Russell Tovey used the hashtag #7thJuly2005 to pay tribute. Other trending hashtags included #sevenseven, #walktogether and #10yearson.

Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon also shared her thoughts.

Rapper Tinchy Stryder used the hashtag #walktogether, which was a campaign for people to get off their tube or bus one stop early this morning and walk together to remember the 52 victims.

Here’s what actress Heather Peace had to say.

Fun Lovin’ Criminals frontman Huey Morgan also had an experience to share.

And TV presenters Rylan Clark and Kate Thornton also paid their respects.
