Vince Vaughn is developing a new version of hit 70s television show The Brady Bunch.

The Wedding Crashers star is working on the multi-camera project with Raising Hope's Mike Mariano, who wrote the pilot script for network CBS, reports Deadline.

Vince, who has a 19-month-old daughter with wife Kyla Weber, is both co-developing and will executive produce the show.

The original series, which ran from 1969 to 1974, centred on a widower with three sons, who marries a single mother with three daughters.

The updated version of the classic comedy will follow the same basic premise, but there will be some changes, such as the couple also having a shared child, and the fact that their ex-partners are still a part of their lives.
