WE MIGHT still be a few weeks away from Easter but over at the Tachhi-Morris Arts Centre they're already looking forward to Christmas.

The theatre is working with Reamba Productions to bring a giant adventure to the theatre in December.

Jack and the Beanstalk has been announced as this year's pantomime and promises a mix of well-known songs, cheeky and fast paced comedy, a sensational cast, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes, outstanding quality and value for money.

The production will run from Saturday, December 9 until Saturday, December 23.

The schedule includes a mix of general public and school performances and also includes two relaxed performances.

Jack and the Beanstalk features a cast of professional actors who have a wealth of experience in pantomime.

Dame Trott, played by Marcus Ayton, comes to Tacchi-Morris having recently performed in the UK Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Comic genius Sam Stay will be playing the role of Simple Simon after rave reviews in his previous pantomime.

Sam returns to perform at Tacchi-Morris six years after graduating as a student at nearby The SPACE.

He said he is delighted to have the opportunity to return to his roots and perform in a professional capacity.

The Princess is played by Clare McCreadie with Emily Jane Brooks as the villain.

Irish model Chris Britton plays the title role of Jack, having made his debut with Reamba Productions last season.

Professional vocalist and actress Georgina Hendry plays the wonderful fairy this year.

The cast will also be supported by a professional dance ensemble and juvenile ensemble members.

"We can’t wait to see the development of the show and we’re particularly delighted that Sam Stay will be joining our cast. It’s so wonderful to see the progression of a past student and we know the whole production will delight families of all ages.”
