A GOBSMACKING guitar talent and BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award semi-finalist for 2014 plays at The Dolphin in Wellington tonight (Thursday).
At just 17, Darren Hodge, of Taunton, is tipped as one of the UK’s top young guitarists – something his sponsor, Tanglewood Guitars, recognised early on.
The self-taught musician takes his inspiration from musicians of the highest calibre, including the father of gypsy jazz, Django Reinhardt, ‘Cannonball Rag’ player Merle Travis and even Michael Jackson.
Darren’s gig at The Dolphin starts at 8.30pm. He’ll be supported by Bob Gallie.
His solo album, The Road To Nashville, is available on Amazon.
