The Creative Innovation Centre in Taunton (CICCIC) has announced that they have been successful in obtaining a Heritage Lottery Grant to support the First World War Pitminster Parish exhibition in the town.

The exhibition will be open at the Lamb and Flag, Blagdon Hill, on September 26 at 7pm and is part of a series of events which CICCIC has been supporting in the parish.

One of the key events leading up to the exhibition is an evening of stories, poems and songs delivered by family members and written by their relations who fought in the war.

The event is being filmed this Friday (September 26) at 6pm at the Lamb and Flag and will be included in the archive footage which will be housed for future prosperity in the British Library.

A very entertaining and rewarding evening in on the cards with food and drink themed for this special occasion.
