WHICHEVER musical or West End is your favourite, there was a good chance that the WestEnders performed it – and performed it well – at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton on Saturday.

There were plenty of famous songs in the show and the majority of the crowd were tapping, clapping and singing away to hits from Les Miserables, Catz, Phantom of the Opera and my personal favourite, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Any Dream Will Do has and always will be my most loved song from musicals as it brings back my earliest memories of being a small child and going to see a big production, so it was a nice trip down memory lane as well as listening to six performers who did a great job bringing it to life.

The group performed more songs from Les Mis in what they announced was the final act of the night.

Members of the audience began to rise from their seats, cheering and clapping what was an entertaining show.

But that was not the end of proceedings as the performers boomed back on stage and performed Waterloo from Mamma Mia!, which sent the audience into a frenzy of singing and seat dancing.

And with that the show came to an end with a standing ovation and plenty of happy customers drifting back home. . . singing the odd song or two.
