ENGAGING female vocal trio Voice present Patterns of Love – a programme of songs that explore the beauty, heartache and humour of love – to an audience at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre on November 19.
The trio take in early to contemporary with music from medieval France, Shakespearean song, 16th Century catches and folksong arrangements from the British Isles.
Voice has commissioned new works for Patterns of Love by five British composers; Helen Chadwick, Marcus Davidson, Emily Levy, Stevie Wishart, and Ayanna Witter-Johnson for this unique programme.
Voice intentionally commissioned four female composers for the programme as it is important to the group to support the work of women in a world where there is still such a big gender divide in the creation of music.
The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10/8/5 on 01823-414141.
