THE Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre has announced its programme of community classes for the new year.
They begin on January 12.
Classes on Mondays will include: Bolder Dance Company, a range of dance styles for the over-50s; Stamp, a youth theatre for eight to ten-year-olds; tai-chi; and classical ballet.
On Tuesdays, Zoom Theatre Company will offer drama games and performance opportunities for 11 and 12-year-olds; Taunton Musical Theatre will offer training in acting skills, vocals, choreography and performance skills for young people aged 12 to 16; and there will be rhythmic Flamenco dance classes for beginners and more experienced enthusiasts.
Wednesdays’ offerings include: the Blitz Dance Company, for eight to 11-year-olds; the Whatever Theatre Company, a singing, drama and musical theatre company for all ages; the Connect Youth Theatre for 13 to 15-year-olds; the Digit Dance Company, for 12 to 14-year-olds; pilates for adults; the Taunton Rock Show Chorus, singing classics from the charts, film and stage; and Taunton Youth Dance Company, offering professional workshops and performance opportunities.
On Thursdays, there is Fun Feet, a dance class for ages four to seven; yoga for adults; beginners’ tap classes; and Strictly Ballroom, offering the chance to learn the Rumba, Foxtrot, Tango and Waltz among other dances.
Finally on Fridays, people can join Mark Whitford-Williams for Singing for Fun, an informal sing-a-long of music throughout the ages, aimed at those aged 50+.
